One of the first things that everyone noticed at first is the Limited Edition cover; It’s really particular and, to me, it’s not really good looking, while the Regular Edition looks more elaborated and with a nice style. But it’s still too soon to judge this particular cover, since a sleeve revealing the graphics below or some kind od special packaging could change these first opinions, so we’re probably gonna discover it as soon as we get our hands on our copies.
Also, we have to notice that in both the covers the Triangle is still a clearly displayed symbol for the girls, and we already had the chance to see this during the JPN Hiroshima show, especially during the JPN Special Interlude by Yasutaka Nakata: Somehow I think this is very interesting and a symbol that can be interpretated in many different ways from everyone.

Moving along, the tracklist for the Bonus DVD of the Limited Edition has been revealed too, and seriously, all that we wanted in this disc it’s there! We have the Saitama Super Arena Encore, something that more than one fan was expecting (and pretending), and the Spring of Life and Communication full versions taken directly from the Four days at the Nippon Budokan! They really chose perfectly the performances and the venues to add in this Bonus Disc, and like if it wasn’t enough, we also have Toki no Hari in three different versions, one for each girl, another great choice considering how this performance is focused on the girls’ singing. Last but not least we have Spice Multi Angle ver. and the Venue Team Division MC, which I honestly have any idea of what it is, but it seems like this is a common enigma between the fans at the moment: To make it clear, i’ll share the reply of ojisan, a member of the Perfume City Forums, that kindly explained what this is all about:

“ご当地チーム分けMC
MC featuring breaking teams in each venue.
Perfume breaks audience into three teams (right, middle, left or arena, lower stand, higher stand) with different names considering characteristics of each local thing. You can see it in P.T.A. segment.”

Now that’s clear. :P

Well, that’s everything for now guys! We can say that without a doubt the high price of the Limited Edition is well justified considering how many extras they’ve inserted in it, and the Regular Edition is still a great purchase considering how good looking it is. ;)

The only thing we don’t know about this release is the pre order poster, that will probably leak around the release… of course, stay tuned on Perfume Disco for every single news about Perfume!

As always, leave your opinion about the new JPN Live DVD covers and tracklist down here in the comments!

  1. I’m agree with you, the LE Version is not really good looking… Well, here is something posted in a serie of Tweets by Perfume City after ask us what we think about the covers.

“Many of you mentioned JPN Tour cover looking like Triangle Tour. Maybe beyond the surface, the triangle is a significant symbol for Perfume.
Because a triangle is a shape with 3 points and 3 sides, it cannot exist with one less/more attribute. Same goes with Perfume.
The triangle is also a significant symbol representing change. Perfume will continue to evolve and change as they progress in their career.
Furthermore, the triangle is still present in the JPN Tour logo, and during the JPN Special, the polygons transformed into an triangle.”

It is interesant, I never though in the triangle in that way. but I still think the LE Version is so simple :P anyway, this is a lesson of not judge by appearances, just look the inside, and really… it is a really good inside :D

      • Something else, that is a equilater triangle, wich it means that the 3 sides and angles are equals, there is not one bigger that other and I like it, the three are equally important, there is not a leader, as far as I know, and that is good, cause they work as a joined team.

And that equality is the reason that makes you poll of this week the hardest to answer!!! :P

Humm, I wonder, why the Triangle in the “LE” is pointing down and not pointing up?
maybe it’s because when you are holding it in the right way, it will be pointing to you :P

xD after read that description of the triangle I’m trying to watch the things in a different point of view :P

  2. Had another look at the track list (especially the second disc) and unfortunately they didn’t put the ‘JPN’ Special video on there. But anyway, I think we have a nice release here and of course they went with their beloved triangle again. Since I saw this symbol coming with their album of the same name I thought that this is not a coincidence. They made up their minds before and came up with one of the most significant shapes in geometry – and one of the most stable ones too.
Anyway, I’m really happy how this release is going for now – but there’s still like four weeks to go.

    • Yeah, the JPN Special and Toki no Hari video, the ones disaplyed on the monitors, would have been a great add to the bonus disc. But exactly as you, I don’t feel like complaining about this release, and I think it’s gonna be great. :)

  3. As for the appearance of the limited edition, I think forward a little. It may be like the others as Spring of Life, JPN, and so on. These come with a cardboard cover. But they have a different cover. I think it’s the same with the DVD: JPN Tour.

  4. Actually, what I’m most excited about is to see them perform Communication. I loved the CM choreography and can’t wait to see the whole song… ;)

  5. The division things is not a surprise really. In the Tokyo Dome concert, A-chan divide the entire dome with ingredients of the curry and rice dish; carrots, meat, potatoes and onions :D

Also, talkin’ about the cover I always thought the triangle is something so deep and meaningful to the girls. The normal edition may be more colorful, but the special edition is just that, special. Representing what they truly are, an unbreakable form that will lost all sense if any line is replaced or deleted. And for Perfume, I think this may not be one of the best concerts, but is the beginning of a very important era for the girls.
