WOWOW to broadcast Hiroshima date of the JPN Tour !

Not long ago, on the Perfume Official Website, it’s been announced that the Hiroshima date of the JPN tour that will be held at the Hiroshima Green Arena, will be broadcasted on the famous TV channel WOWOW on May 27th (Sunday)! Here is the official announcement of the WOWOW website:

This is a great news since this is the first time an entire Hiroshima Perfume show is recorded and broadcasted (excluding maybe their Indie days), and we all know what special meaning this place has for the girls since it’s their hometwon. :)

At this point, all the fans are wondering if the future live DVD the girls will probably release once the JPN tour is over will include this performance exactly as happened with the Tokyo Dome show, or if they will publish the Saitama Super Arena date, which has been recorded according to the lucky people who attended the two days show. The only way to know this it’s to wait for some official news, but one thing is sure: whatever the recorded date is, it will be awesome. :P

But let’s leave apart these useless predictions and enjoy this beautiful news! Hiroshima has always been a special place for the girls, and we all can’t wait to see them perform in their beautiful hometown.

Perfume Global Site launches “Project #001″ !

It’s pretty known that the Perfume Global Site is doing everything to catch the eyes of the overseas fans, starting with a sharing marathon through Twitter and Facebook to continue with a weekly updated website that spreads amazingness and style everywhere, making every other existing website pretty much sink in its own dullness. But guess what? it’s not over, cause yesterday the Perfume Global Site started a new project called Project #001: What is this all about?

Well, It’s pretty simple: If you are a motion designer and you know how to use the right tools, you can go to the Download section of the Global Site and download a motion capture data to work on the same animation used in the site itself. Basically, you have to create your own choreo using this motion capture data and your freedom of imagination as first source to create something that could be used in the website itself!

After your work will be done, Tweet it with the hashtag of the Global Site and simply put a link to the site itself. Nothing has been announced on how these works will be used or how they will be chose yet, but considering the “We reserve the right to feature your works on our website” string, it really seems like they are asking all the fans to create something that will be inserted in future on the Global Site. Pretty cool, isn’ it?

That said, it’s really nice to see how the overseas fans are considered now and the staff is seriously making a great job with this new website. I bet we will see more and more stuff and news in the future on this website, so stay tuned here for more news and infos about Perfume! :)

Four new『Spring of Life』PV previews unveiled!

Not even the time to get excited for the upcoming arrival of the full Spring of Life PV that will be aired on Japan Countdown this Sunday that we already got a FOUR new previews of the new Perfume music video.

As pre announced by the 18 seconds preview aired a week ago, the concept of the video follows a futuristic look with the girls acting like robots builded up by machines, using computers and dancing in white electric outfits: Definitely a cool and techno-ish vibe and, in my opinion, it also reflects part of the lyrics. The dance looks amazing and I just love how it fits with the overall look and concept of the video and song, together with the great expressions and acting of the girls.

There are no more doubts now: this PV is going to be totally amazing and one of the best of their latest singles! But, as always, words are useless when it comes to watch a Perfume PV, so just enjoy these new exciting previews and get ready to be overwhelmed by the full version this Sunday on Japan Countdown!

『Spring of Life』PV to be aired this sunday on Japan Countdown!

Today on the website of the famous Japan Countdown show, the schedule for the next episode airing on April 1st has been updated and… look at what popped up:

Spring of Life PV to be aired this Sunday on Japan Countdown!

Yes, you got it: This Sunday on the well known Japanese TV show the awaited music video of the upcoming single Spring of Life will finally be aired for the first time! We already got a little excerpt of this new PV on the Teaser Trailer released last week, showing a very robotic and futuristic like look that made everyone really excited, and this news will surely make the hype go even higher. While it’s pretty hard to watch this show from overseas, expect to see an excerpt of the show including the PV on the web pretty soon on Sunday… so definitely stay tuned around the web on that day . ;)

While patiently waiting for this Sunday to come, what are your expectations for this PV? Are you excited? Do you like the futuristic look it has (or will probably have)?

Perfume to unveil new song and choreo on April 8th!

Today, on the NHK website, the performances of the upcoming episodes of Music Japan hosted by our girls have been revealed, and it seems like that Perfume will perform a new song on the April 8th. You can see the schedule announcing the news just below:

There are no details on what song will be performed yet, and many questions have been raised by many Perfume fans: Will it be Spring of Life? Or the still mysterious Point? or a new song? Everyone is pretty confused and clueless especially considering how we still don’t know anything about the B-side (or A-side?) of the upcoming single that will hit the stores in about 16 days. Seeing how very near this performance is to the release date of Spring of Life, it’s practically sure that it will be one of the two songs included in the new single: Just… which one?

Well, the only thing we can do for now is… wait. :) But it’s exciting to know that we will finally see a new choreo from our girls pretty soon, and our waiting in the next two weeks will surely be attenuated by more informations about Spring of Life... we still have a few things to know about the new Perfume release. ;)

『Spring of Life』is here: First impressions!

Finally the day has come my friends, and on today’s segment of Perfume LOCKS! our girls aired for the first time ever the full version of their upcoming single Spring of Life! 

Now I’ve gotta say there were some confused opinion about this new song: the Kirin CM and Teaser Trailer vibes just didn’t get along, many people were asking how this two different sounds could fit together, but today we had the proof that yes, Spring of Life has a very happy yet badass vibe: it’s just awesome. The nice intro starts with the girl singing a part of the already famous chorus: the melodic instrumental starts, spreading happiness everywhere and opening the road to the verse that sounds slower yet nice, calming the atmosphere just before the super energetic chorus that we already have stuck in our minds since the Kirin CM came out. Moving along another verse and chorus we finally get to the awaited bridge, which is probably the best part of the song, and right here we found the futuristic sound that we heard in the teaser trailer a few days ago, followed by an amazing solo by Nakata that sounds really fresh for a Perfume song: I can definitely say we didnt’ have such an amazing bridge in a long time. The song ends with another chorus enriched by a nice melody in the background that lasts until the end: If I could describe this part of the song with a word, that would be “Fireworks”. But words are useless, really: just listen to it and you’ll get what I mean.

 

I’ve already listened to this new song a good amount of times, and I can say without a doubt this is the best Perfume A-side since 2010: It’s powerful, it has melody, a happy and energetic vibe, a great bridge and awesome melodies. This is just not the same “spring song”, it’s the return of Perfume that gives you crazy happiness and makes you dance on your chair: The girls and Nakata definitely did an awesome job this time.

I’ll write a complete review of the single once I’ll have a copy in my hands, but I can tell you for sure this is going to be an awesome release my friends. While waiting for a PV and to see our beautiful girls dancing to this amazing tune, I come back to my session of Spring of Life :P

How do you guys feel after the overload of news we had yesterday? Still drooling on the Spring of Life teaser and the VMAJ CM? Well, me too, and I guess it’s a natural consequence in front of the stunning beauty of our girls and the amazingness of these videos.

But let’s leave apart these details for a moment and let’s focus on an important thing: as you may know the girls not only will host the event, but they’ve also got two nominations, respectively for Best Dance Video and Best Choreography. The girls need our vote to bring home these awards, and there are two ways to do so:

Perfume VMAJ 2012 Live Premier event: short coverage

I guess everyone of you watched the first Perfume live broadcast aired today on Ustream, but I think it’s definitely worth talking about it. The broadcasting started today at 9PM Japanese time and lasted for about 30 minutes, with the girls talking about their future role as host of the MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2012 that will air on July 23rd. It’s been a funny (and short) event, especially when it’s been asked to the audience watching the broadcast to choose between three of the best Perfume PVs, one for each girl: a very nice way to entertain the audience I must say!

But of course the star of this event has been the outstanding, gorgeous, amazing VMAJ 2012 CM starring Perfume in red outfits: through effects and an amazing video editing, we can see the girls playing and dancing above many different instruments, creating a particular yet beautiful choreography that made every fan go insane. Some good soul uploaded the CM on YouTube, so you can open your eyes to this endless overload of pure beauty just clicking down here :)


Definitely one of the best Perfume CMs ever, don’t you think? The girls look totally gorgeous in red outfits and I just can’t wait to see them host this special event: I bet it will be an unforgettable experience, both for the girls and us. To conclude this nice premier the girls unveiled the breathtaking Spring of Life teaser trailer: you can find all of the informations about it in the post below :P

In the end, this has been a short yet very entertaining and full of exciting moments event: In 30 minutes only these girls made crazy thousands of fans (more than 10.000 were following the broadcasting). I really hope they will make many other live appearances on Ustream like this in the future. If you hadn’t the chance to follow this event, here is a video of the entire premier:

『Spring of Life』Teaser Trailer and Covers unveiled ! ! !

As previously announced, during today’s live broadcast of te MTV VMAJ 2012, the girls unveiled the new teaser trailer for their upcoming single Spring of Life ! Open your eyes and prepare for an overload of futuristic/robotic awesomeness.

 

Yes, it totally looks AMAZING. Listening to the Kirin CM preview you wouldn’t expect that Spring of Life would sound (and look) so dark and heavy, yet I totally love this contrast. Seems like that the girls are really coming back to their old Near Futuristic Technopop sound, and after the JPN’s cuteness (which was beautiful of course), I think the girls really need to bring their old school vibe back, which will help them without a doubt into their worldwide activities and promotions: Now more than ever, I’m happy to be a Perfume fan! I really can’t wait to listen to the entire song and to watch what is probably going to be an awesome PV. :)

As you can see the covers follow the concept of the PV, which pretty much confirms their return to the Futuristic look. In particular, I love the Limited Edition cover and for some reason it reminds a little bit of the Electro World cover (known for being on of the best Perfume covers ever).

Perfume to host MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2012 + Ustream event broadcasting today ! ! !

How does it feel like to wake up with a huge and awesome Perfume news? Well I can tell you it feels good my friends, cause just  a few hours ago it’s been announced that Perfume will host the 2012 edition of the MTV Music Video Awards Japan!!! 

Our girls have been chosen to host the hugely important event that will be held at Makuhari Messe on June 23rd, event that will make grow even more the already enormous popularity of the girls. But it’s not over, cause after this great announcement, Perfume are also going to make their very first Ustream live appearance TODAY at 9PM (Japanese time) to hold a premier event of the VMAJ 2012, commenting their impressions about the forthcoming show and also very special experience for them, announcing the first round of nominees of the event and showing a new special teaser for the upcoming single “Spring of Life” ! ! !
