Where is the GLITTER PV? What is Tokuma doing?
Probably what a lot of fans are asking to themselves in this moment is: where is the GLITTER PV? In less than a week the new Perfume single Spice/GLITTER will be released, and still there’s no sign or news about a music video, which is very weird, considering that Perfume PVs usually come out 2 weeks earlier the release. All we know is that the PV for GLITTER has been released on mobile phones in Japan (divided into parts, each one costs like 210yen if i’m not wrong. Pretty absurd imo.), and yet it didn’t leak out. That’s strange… No leaks, not a preview or screenshot, no news about it… nothing at all.
Then, yesterday, on the website of Space Shower TV (a Japanese Television) the Spice PV popped out of nowhere in the programs schedule, without any date, just this writing:

So, at this moment, there’s an high probability we’ll see the Spice PV before the GLITTER one… Confusion. Lots of confusion. The marketing behind this single is really weird, and all of the Perfume fans are pretty much confused: Tokuma/Amuse never did such a similar promotion for a Perfume single.
And, for some reasons, i think they are confused too.
They said the JPN tracklist will have 13 songs, but they’ve announced only half of it (all of the previous A-sides: Fushizen na Girl, Natural ni Koishite, VOICE, NEE, Laser Beam, Kasukana Kaori). Plus, the bonus Limited Edition DVD list. Basically, they’ve announced everything, but half of the tracklist… mmh, why? We’ll talk about this later… let’s go back to the singles.
One thing you probably already know is… they’ve indirectly announced that GLITTER will be in JPN. Yes, exactly. Take a look at this…

As you can see, they’ve actually said that GLITTER will be in JPN. It couldn’t be more clear, yet Tokuma didn’t say anything about it in the album announcement.
And what about Spice? Well… judging from the single tracklist, it’s the first song, and like every single in the history of music, the first song is the A-side, and A-sides are always included in the incoming album. Also, the Spice PV is in the JPN Limited Edition DVD, another sign that might confirm my opinion.
So… why Tokuma is making all of this confusion around this single? Why aren’t they saying anything about the role of this single in JPN, or about the PVs?
My personal opinion and answer is: because both Spice and GLITTER will be in JPN.
They have announced only half of the tracklist, even though it’s OBVIOUS that they already know it completely. And you know why? Because Spice and GLITTER will be there, but they can’t say it, or else the single won’t sell well as it should. Who would buy a single with two songs included in an album coming out 3 weeks later, besides hardcore fans? Not a lot of people, i guess. Or maybe occasional purchasers. And that’s why i guess the complete tracklist will be unveiled at least a week or two after the single release.
Plus, FAKE IT is around the corner, with all of the times they performed it this year in festivals, and the fact that they’re hiding so much the live dance and performance (the latest PTA video released today is the proof of this), this might be the remixed b-side inserted in the album. So the tracklist would be something like: 6 old A-sides + Spice + GLITTER + FAKE IT. Nine (9) songs that we already know, out of 13. And taking a look at the Japanese music industry, this wouldn’t be anything new at all.
Obviously, these are just my opinions and suppositions, the album could even be completely different from what i guess, but i wanted to talk about this and write here my 2 cents.
My biggest hope, is that we’re going to get at least 4-5 new songs in the album, so i think im not asking for too much. I hope the Perfume’s management is doing the right thing.
Well, by the way… leaving aside all of these managing talk and suppositions, i will buy both the Spice/GLITTER single (for the poster and cause i already own all the singles, and leaving behind this it’s against my nerd collector spirit lol) and the album (unless it’s a Best Of, lol).

A different video, and something is changing
Hi everybody! How’s everything? Are you still listening to Spice and GLITTER?
As you can see, yesterday i’ve uploaded a video with my thoughts about these new songs, and i’m glad to see that most of us had some good impressions about it.
Today i took the chance to record another video, a different one this time, something like an experiment. I’ve already talked about this to you a couple of posts ago, and today i’ve finally recorded it. It’s pretty short and particular, it’s not the same video of me talking about Perfume… more like an introspective thing, i’d say. It’s always related to Perfume, but in a more general way, it’s something that could be related to many other japanese groups, or to Japan itself. I’ve already edited the cuts cause it’s very short (2 minutes, more or less), now i should record the audio and add the music. Normally it wouldn’t take long, but as always, many hours after i recorded the video, some new idea comes to my mind like “oh, i could have done this! It would be better for sure!”, but now it’s 11pm and i can’t absolutely do anything about it, lol. Maybe i’ll try tomorrow but it’s not easy, putting a piece of video recorded during another day it’s not always a good idea. I’ll see if leave the video untouched or add this new idea (in some way). ^__^
It’s already late here, but i don’t think i’ll go to sleep soon. I’m starting to feel a lot of different emotions inside… the date of my trip is coming near, and i feel like my life has come to a turning point, where everything changes. Maybe i’m exaggerating, but It’s a good sensation, cause this journey has a great meaning for me. Today, while recording, i was feeling like someone was pushing me on, giving me the will of going on. I never felt this sensation in my life, and i think it’s pretty curious. I feel like something is changing, i don’t know if it’s me, but if i think of how i was an year ago, before knowing Perfume, well… now i’m pretty different. I’m starting to think these girls are magic, lol.
Well anyway, stop with the psychological dramas (lol). This is everything for now, I’ll leave you with a pic from today’s recordings. I’ll see you guys soon!

Spice / GLITTER – The Week of the Truth
Soooo… this will be the week of the truth for the new Perfume single Spice/GLITTER. Indeed, as you may already know, tomorrow Spice will be finally aired on the new segment of Perfume LOCKS! and GLITTER will be performed live in the next episode of Music Station! As probably all of you, I’m very excited to hear these new songs, and i already feel the pre-new Perfume song excitement, lol. Too bad i’ll be at work when Spice will finally air, so i can already see myself at 6pm driving towards home like a mad man to listen to it.
To be honest, since the first preview in July (man, it seems like a life ago) i’ve always had good feeling about GLITTER, and i’m sure it won’t disappoint me. Also, i’m very curious to see the dance and the outfits the girls will wear this time… my heart will surely skip a beat exactly as everytime i saw them perform a new song. About Spice, the short preview (only 10 seconds) didn’t excite me a lot, but we all know that judging a song from 10 seconds is not very smart, and i like to think that there will be some “Nakata surprise” for all of us.
In conclusion, there will be a lot of stuff to discuss about this week, and i’m very excited. I will upload a video this weekend (probably Saturday) talking about my impressions of the new singles and about all the future plans about my channel… there will be some good news I’m also planning another video, that will be a little bit different from the previous ones, so no reviews or long boring talking xD
Well… i hope all of you guys are excited for the good amount of Perfume-ness coming in the next days as i am! So, while listening to Capsule’s More More More (God, how i love this song), i salute you and wish you a good Perfume week. I’ll see you guys very soon… bye!

Spice / GLITTER Limited Edition cover (love it)
A moment of melancholy
There are some moments where i really need to write and throw up what i have inside… tonight is one of these moments, and i want to talk about the next Perfume album. Yes, JPN. I’m reading a lot of different expectations about this album… and i have to say that most of them are not optimistic. Honestly i don’t have a very good feeling too, but i always hope for something surprising that can change everyone’s mind, but i know it’s hard, cause when everything is manipulated by people who only cares about money and not music, well… it’s very hard to have good expectations, especially in the latest period. Everyday i read of a lot of fans complaining about how their songs are not good as before, about how Tokuma just use Perfume as their cash cow with commercials, appearences, collaborations in movies and dramas, leaving their talent for music and dance behind, when it should be the first thing for our girls. I feel very sorry for them… i wonder what are their feeling about this situation, even if they clearly accept it (i guess).
But you know what’s the worst thing? I don’t see the enthusiasm i was expecting for the announcement/release of this album. I don’t see anyone excited at all, I only read of confused fans and confused marketing actions by Tokuma and Amuse. While i don’t like pessimistic comments, i can also understand at the same time that it’s very hard to have positive feelings about the next main Perfume release, because the situation is actually really confused and it could easily turn out to be a mess.
I feel extremely sad. This is the first time for me to “attend” the release of a Perfume album as a fan, but i don’t see the enthusiasm and the happiness i was expecting and would have liked to see. I only see a lot of confusion from everyone. Yes, I’m really sad. Because Perfume is very important to me, these girls have a special place in my life in this moment: they helped me to find the happiness and the will to live I once had. I’m not kidding. I never cared so much about a group as them, yeah not even all of my rock and metal idols are so important now. Seeing the girls in such an uncomfortable situation, where nothing is clear and the fans are just lost… it makes me feel bad. I know it sounds ridiculous, but it’s true. Cause i feel like i’ve arrived too late, i feel like they’ve already gave us all of their best songs… i feel like i’ve missed the best Perfume times. I’m afraid, i don’t want to see them going down just for some stupid ass label with the pockets full of money. I want Perfume to be forever brilliant, with their beautiful and positive music and their amazing and complicated dances… i want the real Perfume, the girls that an year ago shocked me and changed my life with GAME and Triangle.
Sorry if i sound very melancholic, but this is just how i feel tonight. Tomorrow i will write another post about this weeks activities and video.
I just really hope for the best, and let the sad thoughts go away. Please girls… don’t disappoint us.

Random words and plans
Today i should have recorded the new video, but sadly i had no chance to do it because i’ve been busy with my work; Italy is in a very critical moment, and the economic crisis is stronger than ever. Even though, as always, my head is more in the land of the Rising Sun than here, and I wonder how is the work situation in Japan; Not easy for sure, but at least they have the will of keep going on… it’s an historical fact. They fall, but always rise again, no matter what. This is one of the many things i’ve always appreciated of their history and culture.
About my videos, the next one will be about a particular and important aspect for the Perfume overseas fans; I’m not gonna tell you what (as always, lol), but i think it’s an argument that all of you thought about it at least once. In the next weeks i will also make the videoreview of the Perfume Livefolio, using the same editing software i’ve used in the previous video, and then the GameTour DVD; after that, i only miss the Fan Service: bitter DVD to analyze, but sadly i still don’t own it even if i’ve already watched it. I know that some of you asked for that review, so i’m sorry, I will make it as i’ll be back from Tokyo!
About my trip, the day is coming near, and i’m planning to do something special for my channel. First of all, i will upload a video everyday: no editing or anything particular obviously, but it will be a short recording (3-4 minutes) of me in the streets of Tokyo, trying to show you some cool stuff: I think it’s a good idea, and also a way to make different videos, i don’t want you guys to get bored with my channel, always talking about the same things, lol. And, once i’ll be back home, i will edit a bigger video with the best recordings from Japan… there will also be a story, like in my homemade videos, so expect to see something really different and bizarre. 
I think it’s everything for now, i’ll record my new video in the next days, so please be patient! In the meanwhile, i’ll leave you with a pic of the game i’m playing now… if you have the chance, please think about purchasing it, it’s worth every single coin.
